世界厨师日:你所不了解的厨师
今天是10月20日,也是“世界厨师日”。
“世界厨师日”是世界厨师联合会(WACS)于2004年3月在爱尔兰都柏林召开的第31届世厨联代表大会上提议并确定下来的,并于同年10月正式宣布将每年的10月20日定为世界厨师日。
民以食为天,厨师在某种程度上来说是人类的第二父母。创立“世界厨师日”的主要目的在于提高大众对厨师职业的认同感和尊重意识。
而今年世界厨师日的主题是定格在为下一代的健康思考,引发厨师跳出当下,思考未来。
October 20 marks International Chefs Day, which was created by late chef Dr. Bill Gallagher in 2004. People around the world celebrate the noble profession on this day, acknowledging the need to pass on knowledge and culinary skills to the next generation of chefs with a sense of pride and commitment to the future.
This year’s International Chefs Day is all about caring for the health of the next generation and inspiring chefs to think about the future.
刻板印象
一提到厨师形象,你脑海中首先浮现的是否也是经典小品《卖拐》中的那句经典台词“脑袋大脖子粗不是大款就是伙夫”?
大部分人对厨师的刻板印象是大腹便便,他们虽然穿着白色厨师服,但却满是油腻、污渍。
但现实却是这样的…..
如今,有越来越多的厨师不仅厨艺精湛,而且颜值在线。值得一提的是,美国《GQ》杂志曾经评选过世界上最性感的男性职业,“主厨”被排在了第二名。

Most people stereotype chefs as fat and greasy, but a great number of them are actually quite good looking. American magazine Gentlemen’s Quarterly once made a list of the sexiest male professions in the world, and chef was ranked second.
美食创新
厨师是极具匠人精神的职业。
曾有厨师总结道,一个好厨师,真正需要的是发挥食材本身的特点,并且通过合理的搭配,做出最好的味道,至于食材是否稀有昂贵,这不重要。
但现如今,随着人们生活水平的提高,人们对于美食的追求也越来越挑剔,普通的美食已经满足不了人们的味蕾需求。
因此一名好的厨师不仅要会做美味的菜肴,还要创新美食,给人味觉、嗅觉、视觉的冲击感,做出有灵魂的菜品。
A chef once concluded that what a good cook really needs is to give play to the characteristics of the ingredients themselves and make the best taste through reasonable collocation. As for whether the food is rare or expensive, it doesn't really matter.
But nowadays, with the improvement of people's living standards, people are increasingly picky about the food they eat, and ordinary dishes can no longer satisfy people's taste buds.
Therefore, a good chef must not only be able to cook delicious dishes, but also innovate and give people a sense of taste, smell and visual, thereby making dishes with a soul.
厨师本着拼搏、创新的精神,敏锐地洞察着行业的变化趋势,并及时地调整、积极应对,始终以自己的职业为荣。
